Treatment Services in Adult Drug Courts Report on the 1999 National Drug Court Treatment Survey

In Oct. 1999, the National (TASC) Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities project developed & distributed a questionnaire designed to describe substance abuse treatment services & other treatment services currently used by adult drug courts & to identify significant issues faced by adult drug courts in obtaining & delivering high-quality comprehensive treatment services. Surveys were distributed to 263 operating adult drug courts, & 212 courts (81%) responded. The results of this national survey show clearly that treatment services designed for & used by drug courts comport with scientifically established principles of treatment effectiveness.
