Tim Eitel: Terrain

Born in 1971, painter Tim Eitel is one of the leading representatives of the Leipzig school, and belongs to a group of young German artists currently giving impetus to the return of painting to contemporary art. Eitel creates sharply observed, figurative, and non-judgemental images of his generation and their social and cultural interaction. His painterly oeuvre is reminiscent of photographic and film images of the 1990s.
