Benjamin B. Warfield (1851-1921) graduated from the College of New Jersey--now Princeton University--in 1871. After a period of study at Edinburgh and Heidelberg, he entered Princeton Theological Seminary and graduated in 1876. Following a year's study in Leipzig and a short pastorate in Baltimore, he was appointed instructor in New Testament language and literature at Western Theological Seminary (Pittsburgh). A year later he was elected professor. In 1886 he was called to succeed Archibald Alexander Hodge as professor of systematic theology at Princeton Theological Seminary. He occupied this position with distinction until his death in 1921. He was editor of the Presbyterian and Reformed Review from 1890 to 1903, and until his death he was the chief contributor to the Princeton Theological Review. John E. Meeter was a pastor in the Christian Reformed Church. After earning degrees from Calvin College (A.B.), Calvin Theological Seminary (Th.B.), Princeton Theological Seminary (Th.M.), and the Free University of Amsterdam (Th.Drs.), he taught at Wilson College (Chambersburg, Penn.)Warfield, Benjamin B. is the author of 'Selected Shorter Writings' with ISBN 9780875524993 and ISBN 0875524990.
