SUMMARY

At age 86, I remain in good health and fully sound of mind. Eighteen years ago, I was encouraged by my friends in the U.S. and abroad to write my memoirs based on my social, business, and military enlistee in World War II. Growing up in the ghetto of the Lower East Side in New York, I developed "street smarts" to meet many confrontations head on which encouraged me to become a star athlete in boxing, track, and gymnastics. I developed tremendous strength; with one punch, you were down. Revelations is based in great part on unusual true life experiences. I never ran from ensuing problems but acted promptly, and, in most cases, came out the victor. You will read untold tales of the Mob who patronized my father's popular custom clothing business catering to Broadway show people, leading politicians, and top businessmen. My father was entrusted with Mob secrets passed on to me in later life. During my military service, I faced two court martials for defying orders based on bigotry and anti-Semitism, and again came out the winner. With psychic ability and unusual success and foresight, I gained a reputation as a healer which I practiced in many cases to a happy conclusion. Highlights of my life include a long friendship with President Nixon since 1960, and serving as a ghostwriter for many comedians following the tradition of What Makes Sammy Run? and Sergeant Bilko. I tell about a murder committed by my father in self-defense during the Russo-Japanese War in 1905. I have had audiences with popes and was greeted with shalom. Above all, Revelations can be described as explosive, steaming, defiant, and daring.Dinner, Joe is the author of 'Revelations of a Brazen Man', published 2005 under ISBN 9780595351275 and ISBN 0595351271.
