SUMMARY

This report presents, for the first time, information from the 2002 Nat. Survey on Drug Use & Health. This survey, formerly called the Nat. Household Survey on Drug Abuse, is a project of the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Admin. This survey was initiated in 1971 & is the primary source of information on the use of illicit drugs, alcohol, & tobacco by the civilian, non-institutionalized population of the U.S. aged 12 years old or older. The survey interviews approx. 67,500 persons each year. Because of improvements to the survey in 2002, the 2002 data constitute a new baseline for tracking trends in substance use & other measures. The estimates are presented in terms of lifetime & first-time substance use. 100s of charts & tables.Aldworth, Jeremy is the author of 'Results From The 2002 National Survey On Drug Use And Health National Findings', published 2004 under ISBN 9780756738839 and ISBN 0756738830.
