This volume provides a comprehensive survey of the talks held at the Seventh Hungarian Relativity Workshop, August 10-15, 2003, in Sarospatak. The opening chapter collects the contributions on perturbative and analytic studies of black hole physics. An investigation of the usefulness of the concept of null infinity in higher dimensional theories is also included. This is followed by research results concerning some of the general problems associated with the initial value problem of general relativity. In particular, issues related to the cosmic censor hypothesis, description of elastic systems and numerical integration of the field equations are discussed. Also contained are some of the recent advances in cosmology as well as investigations of various Einstein-matter systems, including Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs and Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton systems. The book's closing chapter contains perturbative and analytic results concerning the behavior of potential gravitational wave sources. Some new methods used in getting exact solutions of the gravitational field equations are presented.I. Racz is the author of 'Relativity Today: Proceedings Of The Seventh Hungarian Relativity Workshop, Sarospatak, August 10-15, 2003' with ISBN 9789630581875 and ISBN 9630581876.
