Kit Chan was born in Hong Kong and trained as a chef in London. She has worked in the kitchens of many famous establishments, including the Connaught, the Dorchester and Mosimann's in London, and the Observatory in Sydney, Australia. She has travelled extensively and has also worked in France, Italy and Japan. Kit is a recognised authority on Chinese and oriental cooking and is the author of Noodles and Taste of Thailand. As well as writing cookery books, Kit works as a food stylist, private caterer and food consultant.
