James Tully is Professor of Philosophy at McGill University. He has published extensively in political philosophy and the history of political thought, including Pufendorf: on the duty of man and citizen (Cambridge Texts in the History of Political Thought), and most recently, An approach to political philosophy: John Locke in context (1993).
