Philosophy and Film

Philosophy and Film is the first collection of essays on film to be exclusively written by philosophers. Its premise is that philosophy offers a unique perspective with the potential to make distinctive and valuable contributions to film studies. Respecting the diversity of contemporary philosophical approaches, the editors have included essays that demonstrate the broad range of concerns that philosophers have in approaching film.
