Pet Law

Pet Law addresses all th e issues surrounding the ownership and care of pets. An overview sets out the basic law as it relates to pet ownership, and separate chapters discuss topics including the right to own and house certain pets; the prohibition on cruelty; the laws governing travel with pets; animal importation; disease transmission prevention; impounded pets; pet custody; estate planning for the pet; licensing and leash laws; and the owner's liability for harboring a dangerous animal. An Appendix assembles several primary documents, including applicable statutes, sample forms, and other pertinent information and data. The Glossary contains definitions of many of the terms used throughout the almanac. The Legal Almanac series consists of over 70 handy guides for the lay person on all aspects of the law.
