Painted Mountain: An Early American Adventure

Ken Henderson, retired Visual Information Specialist and Chief of the U.S. Army Quartermaster College Publications Division, Fort Lee, VA, wrote and illustrated "Painted Mountain." His home is located near the foot of Paintlick Mountain in Tazewell County, VA. The mountain still holds the ancient Indian pictographs which are rapidly fading due to acid rain and the elements. These paintings were the inspiration for writing the book.
