Virginia Tuttle Clayton is the Associate Curator for Old Master Prints at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., where she has curated the exhibitions Gardens on Paper: Prints and Drawings, 1200-1900, and Fanciful Flourishes: Ornament in European Graphic Art and Related Objects, 1300-1800, and co-curated Love and War: A Manual for Life in the Late Middle Ages.
