Helen Kelley is a quilt maker, lecturer, author, and instructor based in Minneapolis, MN. Her monthly column, "Loose Threads," has appeared in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine since 1983. Kelley was the first president of the Minnesota Quilter's Guild and her quilt "Renaissance" was chosen as one of the 100 best American quilts of the twentieth century. Her books include Every Quilt Tells a Story, Helen Kelley's Joy of Quilting, "Scarlet Ribbons: American Indian Technique for Today's Quilters" and "Dating Quilts: From 1600 to the Present.
