Ruthanne Long has been a food consultant for wineries in Napa Valley, California as well as a public relations firm. She has traveled widely in Western Europe and the Mediterranean. She lived in Provence where she was a regular customer of the markets described in this book. David Wakely is a San Francisco-based architectural photographer whose work has appeared in many magazines and design journals. His most recent work is A Sense of Mission: Historic Churches of the Southwest. Sharon Smith is an award-winning book packager and designer. Her design for A Sense of Mission won a Bookbuilders West Award of Excellence. She lives and works in San Francisco.
