Donald A. Olson born in Detroit, Michigan and served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WW II. He was part of the 633rd Tank Destroyer Battalion's role in re-taking Leyte Island, Philippines in 1945. He married Mary Jane Bennett in Washington D.C. while pursuing his degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economic and Commercial Law. Don was an accountant employed by a Certified Public Accounting firm in Detroit; a Revenue Agent, US Treasury Department also in Detroit, a senior accountant with a private industry manufacturing company; a licensed state of Michigan residential builder/owner of his company; joined the U.S. Foreign Service in June, 1958. His wife and minor son accompanied him beginning with his first overseas assignment in Laos. He retired from foreign service in August, 1978. In November, 1978, moved to Florida and became a licensed real estate agent there. He more recently did contract work for the FBI in their BICS Program.
