Library Puzzles and Word Games for Grades 7-12

Designed to help teachers and librarians introduce students to reference tools in a way that is memorable and fun, the material in this book was developed for use with grades 7-12, an age group that seems often neglected in the publishing of "teaching" puzzles. The puzzles use basic reference sources such as almanacs, encyclopedias, atlases, dictionaries, thesauri and quotation books. The vast majority of the questions can be answered by using these basic works. Some questions may be answered by using the card catalog and other library resources such as the vertical file.
