Justice Department Inspector General's Investigation of Citizenship USA : Congressional Hearing

Hearing on the Citizenship USA (CUSA) program, which was initiated by the Immigration & Naturalization Service (INS) Commissioner Doris Meissner, & ran from Sep. 1995 to Sep. 1996 to accelerate the handling of citizenship applications. Beginning in May 1996, the media reported that the speed of CUSA was seriously degrading the integrity of the naturalization process.
