This historical report grew out of a visit by a FAA Administrator to south Florida facilities affected by Hurricane Andrew. It became obvious during that trip that the agency's spirited response to the emergency merited detailed documentation. The scope of Hurricane Andrew was unusually devastating & deeply touched the lives of more FAA personnel than any similar catastrophe.
