Marilyn J. Mason, Ph.D., is an author, speaker and management consultant. A corporate psychologist, and former Training Director for Rapid Change Technologies, Marilyn specializes in executive leadership development and change management. Marilyn brings her background in communications and family systems into corporate, family foundation and family business consulting. A former faculty member at the University of Minnesota, and consultant to many corporate groups, Marilyn has coached hundreds of senior executives and CEOs in a variety of businesses, ranging from small to Fortune 500 companies.In addition to leading seminars and retreats, Marilyn lectures nationally and internationally and conducts numerous seminars and radio-TV appearances. She has led treks, climbs, raft trips and bicycle trips through Tibet, China, Greece, the Caucasus, Peru's Inca Trail, Africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. She also leads corporate retreats in team-based experiential learning.Marilyn is writing her fourth book, Igniting the Spirit at Work. She is the author of Making Our Lives Our Own, Seven Mountains: Life Lessons from a Climber's Journal and the co-author of Facing Shame: Families in Recovery.Marilyn has a Ph.D. in Human Ecology from the University of Minnesota where she was honored as Outstanding Alumni.
