The Hallervorden Collection is based on the facts surrounding the group behind Hitler's genocide policies, and its continued influence today. The plot starts in 1990s Germany, highlighting government-originated attacks against minorities. The heroine, Maia Dietrich, who witnessed these attacks, tells Jason Gold, a film director in Hollywood, of similar scenes in Munich, Germany in 1935; about her family's failed attempt to discover who was behind the Nazis then; and the unwitting support of the Nazis by Americans in Salem, MA. Jason is reluctant to become involved until he is targeted by a corrupt police chief in Los Angeles. Jason and Maia then fly to Munich to complete Maia's investigations. They infiltrate the Neo-Nazis and begin to unravel the influences behind them. But Jason and Maia's covers are blown and they have to complete their investigation while on the run from both the police and the Neo-Nazis. After many adventures, they discover the group that was behind the Nazis is the same one that is behind the Neo-Nazis today (as well as the Taliban and al-Qaeda), and which is doing its level best to kill Maia and Jason. Just when it looks like Jason and Maia have outwitted the group and they can finally produce a film making the group's influence known, the group nails them, using a law that it had been instrumental in getting passed in California. Jason is arrested, thus preventing him from making known his findings unless Maia can rally the support to free him.Ferry, Steven is the author of 'Hallervorden Collection', published 2002 under ISBN 9781591092148 and ISBN 1591092140.
