Jarrod West graduated from a small parochial school in Natchez, Mississippi and headed off to West Virginia on his way to the NBA. That was his dream but this book is his reality. He graduated in 1998, after starting in the Sweet Sixteen and spending time in smaller leagues waiting for his chance. Now a graduate nurse, basketball remains the focus of Jarrod's life. He coaches a high school team and has a business called Hoop Skillz 101 giving clinics for younger players. He also does individual training and runs several camps.
