Grace in Abundance Orthodox Reflections on the Way to Porto Alegre

In January 2005 representatives of the 22 Eastern and Oriental Orthodox churches belonging to the World Council of Churches gathered on the island of Rhodes in Greece, to prepare for their participation in the ninth assembly of the WCC, to be held in February 2006 at Porto Alegre, Brazil. Theological presentations focused on the theme of the assembly, 'God, in your grace, transform the world'. The programme featured prayer, meditation and visits to monasteries and local Christian communities.
