Robert F. Kahrs received DVM and PhD degrees from Cornell University. He conducted a rural veterinary practice in New York State for seven years and then taught epidemiology and infectious diseases to veterinary students while conducting research and field investigations on livestock diseases and vaccines. He has served on veterinary faculties at Cornell University, the University of Florida, and the University of Missouri where he was dean for 10 years.
