Clay Kallam spent 25 years working for the Contra Costa Times newspaper chain in almost every imaginable editorial capacity. He began coaching females in the mid-70s, and his first high school job was in 1977 as a softball coach. As an assistant basketball coach, Kallam helped his teams to three California state championships, Kallam now contributes regularly to Inside Stuff, Diablo magazine, Student Sports and Street and Smith's as well as running his own website devoted to women's basketball, Full Court Press.
