Richard Lewis is a retired New York City Police Detective, Pastor, International Evangelist, Broadcaster, Lecturer, and an accomplished author among other things? He served in the United States Air Force for 6 years, and 20 years on the New York City Police Department, Housing Bureau. He received a B.S. degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 2 diplomas from Anderson University School of Theology, Center for Pastoral Studies. As a Police officer and Detective, patrolling the most dangerous neighborhoods in New York City, he is one of the city's and Police Dept.'s most highly decorated officer's, received numerous awards for bravery, including the department's highest award twice for action above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor. He has also receive a number of plaques, medals and letters of appreciation from the United States Army in Europe where he lecturer during Black History month, and preached in several Army Post Chapels.In 1991 he founded the Marvelous Light Crusade, World Out Reach Ministries, and has been propagating the Gospel of Jesus Christ across the U.S.A., Canada, Europe, and especially in Africa, where he has sent food, clothing, medical supplies, built churches, schools, and is the president of a Bible school. He is an astute student of Theology a Biblical Scholar in his own right. He knows the truth of God's word, and preaches it uncompromised, in its entirety. He is an accomplished writer, and not afraid two speak the truth, two books he authored, Black Cop the Real Deal, and America, From Shackles to Handcuffs: My Quest for Truth, Justice and Peace, attested to his stand for the truth. He is married, and has two daughters, one son, a step daughter, and three grand children.
