Favorite Dog Hikes : Death Valley to Yosemite

Wynne Benti, author, Favorite Dog Hikes In and Around Los Angeles, Favorite Dog Hikes In and Around Las Vegas (with Megan Lawlor),and Climbing Mt. Whitney (with Peter Croft), splits her time between Las Vegas and Bishop. She has always hiked with her dogs, adopted from shelters or rescued. Awarded "Great Leader Status" by the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club, Benti has lived in Bishop since 1997. She has climbed more than 400 peaks. In 1990, she founded the Sierra ClubÕs K9 Committee based in its largest chapter in Los Angeles and conducted dog hiking clinics at REI. She is often a guest speaker at animal shelter fundraisers.
