Currently working as a project officer for Latin America and Asia with the Comite Catholique contre la Faim et pour le Developpement, she is completing a Ph.D. in sociology at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, France Dawid Venter is a South African who has taught sociology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and at University of the Western Cape in South Africa.
