Ron Lackmann is the author of more than 25 books, many about television and radio. He has been a professional actor on stage, television, and in radio (Pepper's Young Family) and has taught speech, drama, and communication arts at Central High School in Valley Stream, New York, for more than 30 years. For several seasons, Lackmann hosted the radio show Education in Action for WHLI in New York. He also wrote and narrated the Lifeline series and 50 radio plays for Armed Forces Radio from 1957 to 1959 and was the narrator for Pan American Airways' Music in the Air programs, which were produced by Billboard magazine.
