Abraham Bergman, born in Seattle in 1932, was graduated from Reed College in 1954, and Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1958. He received his postgraduate training in pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital Medical School (London), and Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He is currently Director of Pediatrics at Harborview Medical Center, and Professor of Pediatrics and Health Services at the University of Washington in Seattle.
