Current Problems in the European Economy

Seppo Honkapohja is currently Member of the Board of the Bank of Finland. He was previously Professor of International Macroeconomics at the University of Cambridge, and before that Professor of Economics at the University of Helsinki, Finland. He has published extensively in economics journals and is co-author (with George W. Evans) of Learning and Expectations in Macroeconomics. During 2002-2007 he served as member and Chairman of the European Economic Advisory Group at CESifo. Frank Westermann is Professor of International Economic Policy at the University of Osnabrueck, in Germany. He was previously Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Munich. He is the co-author (with Aaron Tornell) of Boom-Bust Cycles and Financial Liberalization.
