This CD-ROM collection of Colonial and United States treaties with Indian nations contains over 700 agreements, some dating to the early seventeenth century. The included historical documents cover the period from 1629 through 1871. In addition to numerous historical graphics, the collection also contains an original 32 page Introduction to Indian Treaties written by Professors Robert N. Clinton, Kevin Gover, and Rebecca Tsosie. The Indian Legal Program of the Arizona State University College of Law has compiled these searchable texts for use by students and teachers of American Indian history and Federal Indian Law, as well as for practitioners of Federal Indian Law and those interested in the history of Indian affairs. The CD-ROM runs on all versions of Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, although the built-in full text search capabilities operate only on the Windows operating system.
