Dr. Harold J. Bowersox is a Board Certified Osteopathic Physician in Family Medicine. He studied homeopathic medicine extensively, starting at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland , Ohio and then in Toronto , Canada . He has also completed training in Chinese Herb Medicine, Qi Gong, and Tui Na Therapy at the Beijing Massage Hospital in Beijing, China. Practicing in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Bowersox is a staff member of University Hospitals of Cleveland and University Hospitals Health System - Richmond Heights Hospital, where he is Chairman of Pain Control. He is also a staff member of Lake Hospitals and is an affiliated member at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Bowersox began his studies in New York City, where he graduated from New York University School of Medicine/Division of Nursing at Bellevue Medical Center. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Truman State University and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine . He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from William Howard Taft University, W. Edwards Deming School of Business. Dr. Bowersox has also studied Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has completed training in the Eastern Hands Healing Arts System I, II, and III, and has completed certification as a Qi Gong instructor Level I, Relaxation under Master Tian Hao, a Qi Gong Master at the Qi Gong and Human Life Research Foundation. Dr. Bowersox holds board certifications with The American Board of Family Practice in Osteopathic Medicine and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Examiners in Osteopathic Medicine; a Certified Diplomate of The American Academy of Pain Management; and a Credentialed Distinguished Fellow of The American College of Medical Quality. Dr. Bowersox has been active in the Korean Martial Arts for more than 30 years and holds 3 rd Degree Black Belts in Tae Kwon-Do and Hapkido. He is a certified instructor in these Korean arts, trained by Master Chong C. So of Hanover, Pennsylvania. In addition, he is trained in Yang style Tai Chi and Shaolin Kung Fu. Dr. Bowersox serves on the faculty of The Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and is a preceptor for The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and The Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
