Bean, TV Guide, HotJobs, Ziff-Davis, Kinko's, Six Continents Hotels and Resorts, Westin Hotels and Resorts, The John and Mary Markle Foundation, and Outward Bound USA. He has also advised the governments of Mexico and the European Union on achieving success in today's technology-driven economy. Citrin is author of Zoom: How 12 Exceptional Companies Are Navigating the Road to the Next Economy, as well as the co-author of You're in Charge-Now What?: The 8 Point Plan and Lessons from the Top: The 50 Most Successful Business Leaders in America-and What You Can Learn from Them. His articles have been published in the New York Times, Directors and Boards, and Strategy and Business and for nearly three years his column "Talent Monger" appeared in Business 2.0. He serves as a member of the Business 2.0 editorial advisory board. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart in 1994, Citrin was director of corporate planning at The Reader's Digest Association, served as senior engagement manager with McKinsey and Company in the United States and France, an associate with Goldman, Sachs and Company, and a financial analyst with Morgan, Stanley and Co. A 1981 graduate of Vassar College, Phi Beta Kappa, with a B.A. in economics, Citrin serves as a member of the Vassar board of trustees. He earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, graduating with distinction in 1986. He is on the board of the Harvard Business School Club of New York. Citrin lives in Connecticut with his wife, Gail, and their three children: Teddy, Oliver, and Lily. Richard A. Smith is a respected author, thought leader, and commercial and social entrepreneur. He is currently the CEO of World 50, Inc., which brings together the world's most influential executives for strategic collaboration. Previously, Smith was a consultant with Spencer Stuart, one of the youngest directors ever hired to the firm. There, he gained extensive experience recruiting CEOs, COOs, and board directors for public and private companies around the world. Smith is the author of the widely cited CEO study and white paper Top Tier Talent: Investment Strategies for Human Capital. He contributes a biannual feature article for the Venture Capital Review and is the co-creator of Spencer Stuart's Human Capital Market Index (HCMI). He has published numerous articles on leadership, organizational performance, competitive strategy, management assessment/recruitment, and professional career development. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Smith held senior positions with Diamond Cluster International, and strategy and business development positions with EDS in the United States and in Central and Eastern Europe. Smith is the founder of 21st Century Atlanta, is a founding board member of TechBridge, and has previously served on the regional board of the American Cancer Society and the Children's Museum of Atlanta. Smith obtained an M.B.A. in marketing and strategy from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in finance from the University of Florida. He is also a Certified Management Accountant. Smith moonlights as a semiprofessional singer/songwriter and has written and recorded more than 100 songs.
